You Are Never Alone

You Are Never Alonefeatured

It’s time for one of my favorite things— Five Minute Friday! I haven’t been able to chat with my blogging buddies at the Twitter party for several weeks due to LIFE, but I’m still here. If you want to read more lovely Five Minute Friday posts, click on the button to go to Kate’s site. There you’ll find lots more posts written from the same one word prompt. We have five minutes to write. Straight from the hip. Straight from the heart. No overthinking. No major edits. Just write it and post it.

Today’s prompt is the word ALONE. Ready, and 3…2…1… Go.

You Are Never Alone for pinterestYou are never alone, graceful friend. God is always with you. Though the trials and the hard times, He is with you. Through the good times, the great times, and when you are on top of the world, He is there cheering for you. He holds you up when you feel like you can’t go on. He is a comforter when you need a friend. He is a teacher when life throws a hard lesson your way.

He is a friend who never leaves you, who is always there to listen. And you can talk to Him about anything. You know, He will never be surprised by anything you have to say. Try Him.  You will like what you find.

You’ll find that He’s not looking at the mess you’ve made. He’s not looking for you to be perfect. He’s not looking at all your flaws.

He’s looking at you through eyes of love. He’s looking through your hard exterior and the walls you so carefully hide behind, and he’s seeing a beautiful daughter.  To Him, you are so beautiful. You are breathtaking. He sees a radiant daughter, full of life and light.

And the more you share your heart with Him, the more you begin to look like Him. Because as you open yourself to Him, sharing your self (how you feel—the good, the bad, and everything in between), you will see that His heart is also open to you. It’s a beautiful divine exchange. You pour out to Him, He pours into You. And you realize more with every passing day that you are truly never alone.

How has God been there for you (in good times and bad)? I’d love to hear about it.  Blessings to you, graceful friend!
