When You Don’t Feel Able, God is Able

When You Don’t Feel Able, God is Ablefeatured

Sometimes we are our own worst critics. I know I am. Sometimes I don’t think I do a very good job at things God is calling me to do. But I know that I’m learning, and that by His grace I am growing every day. I can learn from my mistakes! The worst mistake would be not trying at all because of fear. Fear of failure holds people back every day. Don’t let it hold you back anymore, friend!

I was so encouraged this morning as I listened to a scope by Asherita. (You can listen, too, on Periscope. Her username is @asherita.) It was about overcoming self-doubt, and I didn’t realize that “doubt” was the FMF prompt for this week until after I listened. I was reminded again that even when I’m not able to do what He’s called me to do very well in my own strength, He is the great I AM! Where I am lacking, He is not lacking! When You Don't Feel Able title

In His strength we can do what God has called us to do.  I can be the mom He has planned for me to be. I can speak, I can write, I can encourage… Not because I’m so good at it on my own, but because God is faithful!

Linking up today for Five Minute Friday, where we write for five minutes flat on a single-word prompt. Today’s prompt was the word DOUBT. Are there areas where you doubt your ability to succeed? Well, God’s got you covered! Where you are not able, God’s grace and strength are sufficient! He will show His strength in the areas where we feel the weakest as we trust in Him.

new song of the week The song I want to share this week is “I Put on Christ” (“The Battle is Raging”) by Laura Hackett. I haven’t heard it in a long time, but yesterday I just felt an inkling that I needed to listen to it. It became my soundtrack for the day! I listened to it on repeat while I ran yesterday morning, and I listened to it on and off throughout the day. I hope you enjoy it! The Lord is your Rock, and He trains your hands for battle.
