It’s time for Five Minute Friday, when we all meet over at katemotaung.com and write for five minutes flat on a single word prompt.  Today’s word is visit.  Ready… GO.

***************

I just got back from a wonderful visit with friends. My whole little family of five piled up in the van and drove four hours to spend four days with four special friends.

The visit had its difficult moments.  Like when 1 year old Isaac could not fall asleep in his new room for the weekend, and Daddy had to drive him around town at 3:30 in the morning.  Like when Isaac woke up at 3:30 a.m. the next night and couldn’t go back to sleep (because he didn’t understand why everyone was in “his” room). You get the theme here: sleep deprivation.

Visiting with FriendsI’m smiling as I write though, because every bit of sleep deprivation was worth all the intimate moments we got to share with friends. We built deeper relationships, and I trust that the journey God has us on will allow us to meet again many times in the future.

There is so much life in just spending time together, encouraging each other, laughing together. Our lives are enriched by the people God sends our way. Not just any people, but those He has ordained to be in our lives–for His purposes.

STOP.
