It’s time for Five Minute Friday, where we write for 5 minutes flat on a single word prompt.  Today’s word is tomorrow.  So here I go.

“The sun’ll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there’ll be sun…” All I can hear is Annie singing, “Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow! You’re always a day away.” (My girls LOVE the movie, and we’ve watched it over and over!)

The truth is, we don’t know what tomorrow holds. For some, tomorrow is looked upon with hope, while others look upon tomorrow with fear and anxiety.

The Lord desires to give you hope. Jeremiah 29:11 says that He has good plans for you! Plans to prosper you (and not to harm you). Plans to give you hope! And a future!

So if you’re one of those looking upon tomorrow with fear, lean into the Lord’s goodness today. Rest in His plan, trust His timing, and trust His love for you.

He does love you, and His love covers all your past failings (in fact, He sees you as perfect, through the blood of His Son). It makes a way for a good tomorrow, no matter what yesterday was like.

Trust in His grace today, knowing that He’s got your best at heart. And knowing that even if you can’t get there on your own, His grace is strong enough to get you there.

Have a great weekend!  Thought you might enjoy a song.  I know I always do. 🙂
