It’s Five Minute Friday time.  When we all link up at Kate Motaung’s place to let our words flow out unhindered.  When friends across the miles meet on Twitter for a party (that is, if they are not fashionably late like I was tonight).  The kiddos are finally asleep, so here I am! Joining the party (better late than never), and pausing to write on a one-word prompt. Tonight’s prompt is the word MEET.  We write, unscripted.  No major editing.  Just let it flow.

Ready, GO.

Our lives are made up of the relationships that God gives us–the people we get to meet. How, oh how does He orchestrate all of that! I’m thinking about how many times I tried to move away during my college years, but somehow God always managed to keep me here.

If I would have moved away, I might have never met my husband! I might have never held my first born, my second, my third.

I do believe in divine appointments–when God causes your path to cross with someone else’s. And I’m so glad for all the people that He has allowed me to meet over the years. What richness they bring into my life!

Each special person that He gives me adds a special something to my life that would be lacking if I would not have met them. People are the treasures–the ones Jesus gave His life for.

God, help me to recognize the treasures that you’ve given me and not take them for granted.

Goodnight, friends! Blessings to you and yours.
