Five Minute Friday time! I “went” to the FMF Twitter party for the first time last night, and I have to say that it was lots of fun! Join us on Thursday evening on Twitter with the hashtag #fmfparty, or head over to Kate Motaung’s page to read other encouraging FMF posts. This week’s one-word prompt is “hide.” So, here I go.
I love that I am hidden in God. In the secret place with Him is where I am most at home.
Now, sometimes, that looks like me sitting alone and reading my Bible, praying, or singing. Spending quality alone time with my God.
But sometimes (most of the time) that looks like me and God doing life together. I know that no matter what I’m doing, I am hidden with Christ in God.
I am in the secret place with Him as I am typing this post. I was in the secret place with Him when I was sweeping up the kitchen floor a little while ago. I was in the secret place when I tucked the kids in bed last night.
I am in the secret place when I am in the middle of hundreds of people.
When I am at church worshipping, it is just me and Him, in the secret place.
I have learned that the secret place is something I carry inside of me. It is where I live from–my home.
The secret place is a place of prayer. It’s a place of meditation and revelation. And it’s a place that travels with me. Because the secret place is in Him. And I’m in Him, and He’s in me, all wrapped up in this romantic song of life together.
For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. – Colossians 3:3
