Haven (A Prayer For Tired Mamas)featured

God, You are my safe haven. {deep breath}

You are the one I can run to when I feel exhausted.  When I feel like I’ve been impatient, hormonal, and too snappy, you are the One I can come to.  I come to You by simply looking IN.  You’re always with me, and not only that… You are IN me.  Oh to never forget how close and intimate you are! You are as close as my very breath.

My Savior, even in my not so shining moments, you look into my eyes and tell me I’m beautiful.  You say that my voice is lovely, and you love to hear it. You say that my face is beautiful. I am radiant. I am your bride.

Ahhhh—I drink in Your truth. And the more I drink it in, the more I become exactly what you say that I am.  My responses become more lovely.  My reactions become more patient. I become to my children what you are to me, a safe haven.

Father, may I lean into you more and more. May I not go a moment without realizing your Presence is near.

This post is part of Five Minute Friday, where writer link up at Kate’s place and write for 5 minutes flat on a one word prompt. Today’s prompt is HAVEN. 🙂

May God be your safe haven always!  When you feel like you are not measuring up, let Him tell you how lovely you are.

Love, Tasha
