“God, when I think of the word “good” I think of what good Father you are. You are always so patient with me, and you bless me with the comfort and pleasure of Your presence. It’s truly where I am at home.
Yes–I find my home in You. Your presence is so rich and true, it changes me ever time I sense it. It draws me deeper into Your reality, where I understand more of who I was created to be. I was created to commune with You. I have tasted and seen that You are good!
How do I get the priviledge of knowing this goodness? It’s because You sent Your Son, Jesus. On day like today, which we call Good Friday, Your only Son went to the cross. He shed His perfect blood. He was the perfect sacrifice needed, so that I could come boldly into Your presence. It was my invitation to venture beyond the veil.”
Yes, the day when Jesus went to the cross was good. Excruciatingly difficult for everyone involved, but the outcome was what He wanted all along. To commune freely with us–His beloved children. Oh, how I love what His precious blood bought. I get to be with Him.
