Day 5: Refuge (31 Days of Prayer and Prose)featured

Then I pray to you, O LORD. I say, “You are my place of refuge. You are all I really want in life.” – Psalm 142:5 NLT

God, as I meditate on this verse, I can’t help but think about the men, women, and children who have been (or will be)  affected by Hurricane Matthew.

I ask that you will be a refuge for those who live in places the storm is hitting now or is about to hit. Be their place of refuge from the storm. Keep them safe from harm.

For those whose livelihoods, homes, or food has been destroyed, be their protector and provider. God, I pray that the people who need You the most will see you do the miraculous on their behalf.

Come with a vengeance, God, and rescue the needy and helpless even now.

I also declare over my own heart that You are my place of refuge. You are a safe place I can rest when the storms are raging all around me. Be a refuge for my friends who are reading this even now.

You are all we really want in life! You are the treasure that is worth it all.

Love, Tasha
