Day 10: Guardedfeatured

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

God, I quiet myself before You, and I thank You that I don’t have to worry about anything. Lord, when I start to worry, remind me to lean into you in prayer!  Remind me where my peace comes from.  Draw me in, and don’t let me carry around burdens unecessarily — burdens that I was never meant to carry. Let’s swap burdens, because Your burden is so light it’s actually enjoyable. 😉

I want to bring everything to You in prayer.  I know there is nothing too small that you won’t listen to my prayer.  You care about every little detail of my life, from the smallest detail to the biggest, life-changing problems.  And there is nothing too big for you to handle!  I know I can trust You, and I know I can talk to you about anything.

You want ALL of me — even the not-so-pretty parts. Nothing will shock You, and nothing is too wierd or shameful that I need to keep it hidden.  So God, I choose to bear my heart before You today and see Your transforming power go to work on me.

You are so, so good.  Your Presence is so rich and sweet.  Your breath fills my lungs, filling every particle of me with peace.  Let that peace guard my heart from what would try to derail me.  Let Your peace guard my mind from what would try to bring anxiety and trouble me.  I love you, Lord.  Thank You, Holy Spirit for Your comfort and peace. I don’t know what I would do without You.

Love, Tasha
